The last part of vacation was filled with more memories, more relaxation, and more laughter--along with some official Megan Henson Photography photos (more on that later). This post is sharing a few more candids & snapshots from our time at the coast. During the week we were able to do a few "tourist" things, including touring the breathtaking Hearst Castle. We also stopped by a San Luis Obispo favorite: "Bubblegum Alley" (apparently Seattle doesn't have the only one!). The majority of the rest of our time was spent at Avila Beach enjoying the sunshine and waves. And as per my goal of setting aside the camera to experience the adventure, we only grabbed a few snapshots, and we left the "big camera" at home. I love how this image of Jorma and I shows off my ever-emerging baby-bump. Trying hard to just rock the Mama body! Avila Beach | 2013 Beautiful Sea Creatures at Low Tide | Avila Beach It was so fun to go exploring through the various caves and rocks during low tide. Not only did we get to adventure down the beach, but we found some really interesting and beautiful sites. Along with these mussels and starfish, we saw lots of sea anemones, and we saw several seals from only about 30 feet away. It was a great experience for the kids, but I think the adults enjoyed it just as much! Hillman Family | Avila Beach 2013 Kiddos enjoying Avila Beach. Kasey & I (With a Little Reflection of Jorma in sunglasses!) | Avila Beach 2013 Jorma & Megan | Avila Beach 2013 Hearst Castle This was definitely a fun stop! A rough time for some of the little kids, having to stay on the carpet and also pay attention to a 45 minute tour, but what an amazing collection/example of art and architecture!
