I can't believe how long it's been since I've created a blog post! Where has the time gone? In all honesty, life gets busy, and I get in slumps about anything repetitive in my life. There's also often so much I want to say, but my earlier blog posts have always felt more about a fun way to show off gorgeous photos, as opposed to having a moment to interact with my community. I hope to add more of both back into my blog space. Instagram has been my most-used platform to interact with my followers and clients, but I'm hoping to bring back some insights, anecdotes, and wonderful photos as well. I still share photos to my Facebook page, but I hope to add some depth there as well. I hope you'll join me on this journey! As many of you know, I am a mom of two creative, spirited boys; also, I'm expecting number three in a few weeks. In preparation, both as a respite for myself and a time of creative rejuvenation, I decided to take a personal staycation--on my own--in the Pearl. I found a gorgeous location and planned time for lots of rest, writing, web design, and a few photos, as it brought me joy. I ended up inviting a few long-time clients to join me for little mini sessions with their littles--a little more stylized than usual--and I loved every minute of it. I loved both spending time with them and playing in a new location. Through spending time with these lovely clients, I was reminded how much I love what I do and the people I get to work with. It is so lovely to be repeatedly chosen to enter into sacred spaces with families, newlyweds, individuals--all kinds of moments--in order to capture photographs. I am reminded that a photography client is a vulnerable thing, and, when I take a moment to reflect, I often am very humbled by the special entry I get into the lives of my clients. I am often there for big moments, milestones, and intimate experiences. The richness of that experience is not lost on me. I cherish the moments and memories I help capture.

Lucia turns one! I adore this family session with these lovely people I've had the pleasure of photographing over the years. What a gorgeous mix of family portraits and lifestyle images! Sometimes when the lighting hits and your good friends are at an event with you, an impromptu photo shoot ensues. Check out this extra-mini session with Kasey & Elven.

Check out all this personality. I love showing this little guy and what it looks like to be him when he's 4. Katie & Tommy's wedding post will be shared in two posts. This first one is of their first ceremony at their church with their family. Stay tuned for {K+T} 2|2 for the photos from their gorgeous vineyard wedding. I loved the detail and significance of each part of Tommy and Katie's wedding day. We started out the day with a small Catholic ceremony.
Portland Wedding Photographer | Catholic Wedding | PNW Photographer | PDX Wedding Photographer I adore getting to photograph kids as they grow! I have had the utter pleasure of photographing Ethan and his big sister on several occasions. I love this lifestyle session Ethan, his mom, and his sister. So many mama-son moments make me swoon! We photographed his big sister in the same way for her 1-year session. What a treasure!
Meagan and Aaron decided to celebrate their engagement at the bar they met and were engaged at--Victoria Bar in Portland, Oregon. It was a beautiful backdrop for their lifestyle engagement session.
